Rainer Courtney

-Objective

        My objective is to be a photographer mainly focused on using film. I've been fascinated with film as long as I can remember, and have learned many different types of analog photography spanning over 100 years. I want this to be a side project, and not my main career. I intend to be part time, as to not interfere with my dreams of becoming a full time automotive mechanic.

-Education/Experience

        As a photographer, i have not been professionally commissioned, but I have been self-taught for the past ~5 years, and have been practicing since I started. I have shadowed a few photographers on professional shoots, and my first teacher, Shannon Palmer, taught me how to develop black and white film in caffinol, a developer made mostly of instant coffee, and supplied me with a lot of my first film equipment, like tanks, cameras, meters, chemicals, and film.
